Deductions – Other Deductions to Expect for Canadian Grain Delivered to the U.S.

What other deductions can I expect from my settlement for Canadian grain delivered to U.S. grain facilities?

Assuming all specifications of the contract are met and other than the “checkoff” that may apply, we are not aware of any mandatory, common or additional deductions from settlement.  Checkoff is an assessment deducted at time of payment  for marketing promotion. In many cases checkoffs are collected by the U.S. buyers at the time of first purchase from grain producers
